Biography of Sally Stoecker
Sally Stoecker is a consultant to the Transnational Crime and Corruption Center (TraCCC), American University.
She directed several projects on child homelessness and human trafficking and has worked closely with Russian colleagues in Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Omsk, and Moscow on these topics.
She received her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies, in 1995. Since 1995, she has been teaching courses on Russian politics at American University's School of International Service.
Before joining TraCCC and AU, she was a research associate at the RAND Corporation in Washington, DC, for thirteen years. She edited a book with Louise Shelley, Human Traffic and Transnational Crime: Eurasian and American Perspectives (Rowman and Littlefield) published in 2005.
